Jérôme Moisantakes over top Travelport post in UK
Travelport GDS has appointed Jérôme Moisan as its new manager for the UK and Ireland.
He takes over from Patrick Lukan, who has held the post since 2005 and has been promoted to run Travelport's global e-commerce business.
Mr Moisan joined Travelport in 2002 and most recently headed up its French operation.
Before joining Travelport in 2002, he gained extensive experience working in the UK travel industry for British Airways, SAS, KLM and Worldspan and outside of the travel industry for BT.
His first role at Travelport was market development manager for Europe, the Middle East and Africa based in the UK, before being posted to the company's Italian HQ as business development manager.
Mr Moisan was then appointed to the position of strategy director for International Markets (encompassing EMEA and Asia Pacific), before moving to Paris in 2006 to head up the company's French operations.
Mr Lukan's new role will be building the company's growing e-commerce business in the Americas region as well as managing its largest e-commerce customers on a global basis.
Travelport also announced the appointment o f Mark Meehan to the company's Middle East and Africa headquarters in Dubai where he will build on the company's presence in the region.
His role of head of commercial operation will be filled by Jason Clarke who was formerly head of the company's sales, strategy and planning team.
