Betty Wilson, IHG's new vice president of global accounts
IHG Hotels & Resorts has announced three changes to its global sales leadership team with effect from 1 December.
Betty Wilson is the new vice president of global accounts. She joined IHG in 2018 as vice president of Americas Sales.
Wilson brings substantial expertise in planning and executing multi-brand strategies to increase demand and accelerate share growth to her new role.
Before joining IHG, Wilson spent more than 20 years at Starwood Hotels & Resorts, ultimately as vice president of global sales.
Wilson’s current role will be taken on by Jonathan Kaplan, currently vice president of global sales strategy. Since joining IHG three years ago, Kaplan has helped execute a number of programmes, including launching IHG’s award-winning small and medium-sized enterprise programme, IHB Business Edge.
Tamara Laster, currently head of corporate travel on the global sales strategy team, has been promoted to vice president, global sales strategy.
Laster will lead a team responsible for driving IHG’s B2B sales strategy, programmes and initiatives for IHG’s corporate, groups and meetings, and small and medium-sized enterprises.
