José Antonio Barrionuevo
International Airlines Group CFO Nicholas Cadbury is to step down from his role and depart the company in June.
Cadbury has been with IAG, which is the parent company of British Airways, Iberia, Aer Lingus, Level and Vueling, since March 2022.
IAG has named British Airways’ chief financial and transformation officer José Antonio Barrionuevo as Cadbury's successor, who will take up the CEO role when Cadbury departs.
Barrionuevo has been in his current role at BA since July 2023 and before that served as Iberia’s CFO for 10 years.
Other moves by IAG, which will take effect following Cadbury’s departure in June, will see Iberia’s chief financial and technology officer Gabriel Perdiguero succeeding Barrionuevo as BA’s chief financial and transformation officer. He has been with Iberia for nearly 12 years, and has been its financial leader since April 2024, according to his LinkedIn profile.
Meanwhile, Vueling’s chief financial and transformation officer Joana de Epalza will move up to the role of CFO at Iberia. She has been Vueling's CFO since November 2023. Prior joining the Spanish carrier, she served as CFO of companies including Renault Sport Racing and Groupe Renault's Alpine brand, according to her LinkedIn profile.
