Accor has appointed Grégoire Champetier as chief marketing officer and member of the executive committee.
In his new role, Champetier will be responsible for brand strategy, distribution, innovation and design.
Previously, Champetier was chairman of Publicis Activ, a network of regional advertising agencies, and McDonald’s where he was senior vice-president, France and Southern Division.
Accor’s new CEO Denis Hennequin, who takes up the role this month, also joined the hotel company from McDonald’s. Champetier worked under Hennequin while at the food company.
