Elena Carlino has been named corporate travel director, effective 1 February
Italian TMC Gattinoni Business Travel has announced the departure of CEO Piergiulio Donzelli “for personal reasons” after less than a year in the top job.
Donzelli joined the company last April as part of a wider restructure following the acquisition of rival TMC Btexpert in 2023.
Franco Gattinoni, chairman of the wider Gattinoni Group, will assume the role of CEO “on an interim basis… with the aim of ensuring continuity and the achievement of strategic and operational objectives,” the company said in a statement.
Meanwhile, Elena Carlino, the TMC’s director of sales, has been appointed corporate travel director, effective 1 February, and Eros Candilotti, currently a director of the company’s business travel division, will assume the role of trade and a supplier relations director. Both are long-time figures at the TMC, the fourth largest in Italy, and will report directly to Gattinoni.
Carlino, in a post on LinkedIn, said her new role “represents an important challenge”.
