Fabio Fornari, the former product manager, sustainability at business travel and meetings platform HRS, has joined BCD Travel as senior director of sustainability solutions.
He joins the travel management company after close to four years with HRS, where he managed the company’s Green Stay sustainability programme.
Under the guidance of BCD Travel’s vice president of sustainability, Olivia Ruggles-Brise, Fornari will now work with the TMC’s clients, partners and internal teams to scale its sustainability solutions.
Commenting on the appointment, Ruggles-Brise said: “We are delighted that Fabio has joined the Sustainability team at BCD to lead the development and delivery of our new end-to-end Sustainability Solution. With his extensive experience in sustainable business travel product development and established industry network, Fabio will play a critical role in embedding sustainability within BCD’s client offering and working with our clients to make sustainable business travel a reality.”
Based in Berlin, Fornari will have a global remit. His role also involves supporting clients to meet sustainable travel goals and supporting effective emissions reduction strategies.
