Evolvi Rail Systems has announced that Jon Reeve, its director of trade relations, is to retire at the end of 2016.
Reeve has worked in the travel industry for more than 43 years, which started at its parents’ agency in Catford – established 1901.
It was while at Harry Weeks Travel that Jon became “one of the architects” of the online rail platform that is now EvolviNG – and oversaw the growth of the service to its market-leading position today.
“After nearly 44 years in business travel, the time is right for me to spend some quality time with my family,” said Reeve. “Over the years, I have made some wonderful friends in this fantastic industry and am proud to have seen the Evolvi system grow into such a sophisticated and effective tool for TMCs and their clients.
“I am particularly pleased to leave at a time when the platform is going from strength to strength through the work of such a highly skilled and committed group of professionals. I will leave with the system in great shape, with very exciting plans for the future.”
Ken Cameron, managing director of Evolvi Rail Systems, said: “Aside from being a good friend to a great many people, Jon has written his own place in business travel history. His vision, energy and knowledge have transformed that way that TMCs and their clients manage rail within their corporate travel activity.
“We will miss his insight but, in typical fashion, Jon has built a great team of people at Evolvi over the last decade who share his values for customer support and service innovation. We wish him a very long, happy and healthy retirement.”
