German TMC DER BUSINESS Travel has appointed Elke Weis to the newly-created role of franchise account manager.
Based in Frankfurt, Weis joins the TMC with more than 30 years’ experience in the corporate travel sector, most recently as franchise manager of corporate travel for rival TMC Lufthansa City Center. She has also managed key corporate accounts for FCM Travel and SAS Scandinavian Airlines.
DER BUSINESS Travel is Germany’s fourth largest TMC, according to BTN Europe’s Leading TMCs 2024 report, and said it is looking to expand its franchise partnerships.
In her new role, Weis will be tasked with collaborating with new and existing franchise partners to “jointly develop innovative solutions for the business travel market”, the company said.
