Tom Walley
Tom Walley has been appointed as global managing director of Corporate Traveller, part of Flight Centre Travel Group.
Walley, who has worked for Flight Centre for more than 20 years across both its corporate and leisure divisions, takes over the global reins at the SME travel management specialist. He will also retain his current position of general manager for Corporate Traveller in Australia.
Chris Galanty, Flight Centre’s CEO of corporate travel, said Walley was the “perfect candidate” to lead Corporate Traveller through the post-pandemic period.
“Tom is incredibly well-known across the business as he’s one of our most experienced senior leaders, and most importantly he’s led the Corporate Traveller business in both the UK and Australia so understands both the history and future vision for the brand,” added Galanty.
“As a longstanding and key member of my team, he has created a highly successful strategy in the Australian market over the last two years and he is determined to see Corporate Traveller become the global category leader in SME business travel.”
Corporate Traveller has a team of 1,500 employees globally serving more than 16,000 clients. The brand is targeting $1 billion in new customers during the 2023 financial year.
Walley added: “I’ve been a passionate advocate for this fantastic brand for more than 10 years and I’m delighted to move into a role that will focus on Corporate Traveller being a leader for SMEs across the globe.
“Corporate Traveller has made a significant investment in industry-leading technology that ensures we provide the right-sized solutions and best possible experience for our customers.
“We have a tremendous opportunity to advance the brand across the world in the coming years and backed by the power of Flight Centre Travel Group, the future is incredibly exciting.”
