Colletts Travel has announced the appointment of Neil Robinson to the newly-created role of managing director for its Hendon and Fortune offices.
Robinson brings ten years’ experience within the leisure and corporate travel industry, most recently as the founder of Corporate Style Travel, an independent travel advisory service under Protravel International, also a Travel Leaders Group business.
Having started Corporate Travel Style under Protravel in 2013, Robinson grew the business in multiple sectors including leisure and corporate travel, as well as events.
Colletts Travel founders Roy Collett and Michael Berlin will remain active in the business, offering Robinson operational support as he takes on his new role. Collett will also serve as a brand ambassador for the agency.
Robinson will oversee the company’s Hendon and Fortune divisions, reporting to Jason Oshiokpekhai, MD of Collets Travel, Scotia Travel, Protravel International UK and Tzell Travel Group UK.
Oshiokpekhai commented: “Neil’s enthusiasm for the travel industry, alongside his experience in running his own successful business at Protravel, means that he is well positioned to embrace the role of managing director at Colletts Travel. The luxury travel sector is a burgeoning market in the UK and Neil’s background will help to streamline our efforts for potential growth as we look to strengthen our network and expand our talented team of agents and independent contractors.”
Robinson, who took up the role on 15 July, said: “Colletts Travel has built an impeccable reputation for delivering exceptional service and personalisation over the last 36 years and I am honoured to be part of continuing its legacy and planning for the next phase of its growth.
Founded in 1983, Colletts Travel provides services for both leisure and corporate clients across three locations in England and is part of the Travel Leaders Group, which was number eight on the most recent BBTLeading 50 TMCs list.
