Serviced apartment provider Citystay Group has appointed Declan Fitzhenry as the company’s new managing director.
Fitzhenry is taking over the role from Neil Fernandez, who is one of the co-founders of the Cambridge-based business, which offers serviced apartments across five brands.
“The Citystay Group is at an incredibly exciting juncture,” said Fitzhenry, who was previously director of operators. “We’re launching an aparthotel and are adding apartments to our rapidly growing portfolio in Cambridge.
“It’s an outstanding opportunity for me to take on this role at such a dynamic time of development - especially having been with the group for over eight years.”
Citystay has recently acquired the Regent Hotel in Cambridge, which will reopen as an aparthotel, and launched its corporate booking business InnClusive last year.
Fernandez added: “It’s been a privilege to see the group grow from a small serviced apartment business spanning just Cambridge in 2008 to five brands with their own unique value touching a global audience.”
