Virginia Vinuesa Carbonero will lead the TMC's operations in Spain
Italian TMC Cisalpina Tours has appointed Virginia Vinuesa Carbonero as its country manager for Spain following its recent expansion across Europe.
Based in Madrid, Vinuesa Carbonero brings more than 20 years of experience to the role, having worked in various account management roles at CWT and BTI Spain (Viajes Marsans).
Most recently, she served as a director for travel spending analytics platform Oversee (formerly FairFly), where she led customer operations.
Cisalpina’s chief of commercial and operations, Giorgio Garcea, said the appointment “completes the leadership structure of our nine international offices – a milestone that marks the successful conclusion of the first phase of our global expansion”.
The TMC’s rapid and ongoing expansion earned it a place on BTN Europe’s 2025 Hotlist, with a plan to also establish operations in Australia, China, India and South Africa.
Owned by shipping giant MSC, the company was ranked as the second largest TMC in Italy in 2024 with gross annual sales of €500 million, including €29.6 million from its international business units.
