Capita Travel and Events has appointed Chris Truss as director of
consulting services to develop and lead consultancy services for air, rail and ground transportation.
Truss will work alongside Sam Welch, director of consulting services for accommodation and meetings, to “support customer retention and growth”.
Trevor Elswood, chief commercial officer, Capita Travel and Events, said: “Chris has impressive experience in travel supplier and customer programme management and an extensive understanding of travel policy and behavioural change in the sector.

A combination of insight-led customer data, supplier input and an understanding of cultures and travel policies will address long-term strategies to create opportunities for organisations and their travellers.”
Truss has almost 15 years of travel and event industry experience, the last seven of which were with HRG, as a global business manager, responsible for managing a portfolio of large multi-national customers on a global basis.
