Travel management company BCD Travel has appointed Wolfgang Strasser and Joanna Greenfield as two new senior vice presidents for the European region.
Based in Munich, Strasser will oversee accounts in the Nordics, Germany, Switzerland, Czech Republic and Poland. He has more than 30 years of corporate travel industry experience in operational and commercial management.
Strasser was previously the managing director of FLYLA and prior to that held several managerial roles at Hogg Robinson Group (HRG) Germany.
Greenfield, meanwhile, is based in London and will manage clients in Italy, France, Benelux, the UK and Ireland. She will also lead to the management team at the TMC’s European service centre, currently operating out of Barcelona and Krakow.
With more than 20 years’ experience, Greenfield was previously the head of sales for FCM Travel in Europe.
BCD president, Europe Michèle Lawley, said: “As our European region rapidly evolves, the addition of Wolfgang and Joanna ensures we are meeting the region’s needs with top talent to provide leadership and support for our managing directors in multiple countries.
“They both bring years of experience in business travel management and a multicultural understanding that are essential at BCD.”
As members of the European executive team, Strasser and Greenfield will report to Lawley. Greenfield filled the position previously held by Lawley before her promotion to president, while Strasser assumed the role previously held by Karen Smithson, who left the company in June.
