British Airways has appointed Gillian Wickers as head of sales for the UK and Ireland.
Previously the carrier’s head of UK leisure sales, Wickers will now also oversee corporate accounts and TMC relationships.
British Airways said the appointment “signals our commitment to a more integrated and impactful approach across all UK segments”.
BA’s head of UK business channels, Karim Ismail, will continue in his position and will now report into Wickers.
Commenting on her expanded role, Wickers said: “The UK market is dynamic, and our partners expect agility, clarity, and value. I’m excited to build on the strong foundations we’ve laid and take our relationships to the next level.”
Wickers joined the airline in 2022 after a five-year stint as United Airlines’ head of global agency sales in the EMEA region. Prior to that she held several client-facing and managerial roles at American Express Global Business Travel.
