Easyjet has announced the appointment of Andrew McConnell as its corporate affairs manager.
In his new position, McConnell will play a key role in the way Easyjet’s corporate affairs work.
The airline said his appointment "demonstrates a strong commitment by the airline to engage with the Government and the wider political arena".
McConnell will also co-manage Easyjet's media relations across the UK (he was previously communications manager), alongside the airline's various CSR activities.
Andrew has worked for the Easyjet for nearly three years, and prior to joining the airline he worked for Heathrow Express and Gatwick Express.
He also has considerable political experience and a strong understanding of local government, having previously served as chairman of Bedford Borough Council.
