David Thompson will leave the company this month after nearly nine years
American Express Global Business Travel chief information and technology officer David Thompson will depart the travel management company on 31 May, the company disclosed in a filing with the US Securities and Exchange Commission on Tuesday (12 May).
Thompson's responsibilities "will be allocated to other members of the senior leadership team" upon his departure, according to the filing.
Thompson joined Amex GBT in 2017 and previously held positions with Western Union and Oracle.
Amex GBT last week agreed to be acquired for $6.3 billion by investment firm Long Lake Management. That deal is expected to close in the second half of the year, according to the TMC.
