Frank Langbein
ATG Travel Worldwide has appointed Frank Langbein as co-managing director of its expanding German business.
Netherlands-based ATG said that Langbein would work alongside current managing director Peter Ashworth as co-MDs in Germany. ATG significantly increased its footprint in Germany by acquiring CWT’s business travel operations in the country last year.
ATG Business Travel Management operates as a “separate entity” focused on the German market, with CWT’s employees in Germany joining ATG as part of the acquisition, which was separate to American Express Global Business Travel’s merger of CWT.
Langbein has worked for leading mobility firms such as Hertz and Europcar during his career of more than 20 years, according to his LinkedIn profile. He was most recently director of sales at German rental company Starcar.
In his new role, Langbein will head up sales, finance, accounting, administration, human resources and local marketing at ATG Business Travel Management.
Tammy Krings, CEO of ATG Worldwide, said: “We are delighted to welcome Frank Langbein to ATG in Germany. His experience and knowledge will bring extra strength to the team and is part of our strategic approach to grow ATG, both in Germany and around the world.”
Langbein added: “I am very pleased to join ATG and help to develop our footprint in the German market, as well as be part of the global growth journey, bringing new experiences to customers – both those looking for a travel management programme for the first time, and those looking for a new experience.”
ATG Travel Worldwide, which is based in Utrecht, operates both as a travel management company and as a global international franchise network of TMCs. It was ranked as Europe’s seventh largest TMC network in 2025.
Krings said that ATG planned to expand into new markets this year by targeting global and multinational clients “of all sizes”, as well as offering meeting and events services.
