The Business Travel Show is adding a third location to its exhibitions in London and D”sseldorf, this time in the Middle East
The Business Travel Show Dubai will be held at the Jumeirah-owned Madinat Arena, in the resort area of Dubai, adjoining the Burj Al Arab. The dates are 29-30 October 2007. Madinat Conference Hall is arguably the region's most comprehensive meetings and events facility. Standing within Madinat Jumeirah, it reflects the architectural styles of 'old Dubai' whilst forming an integral part of the region's only themed conference destination.
This follows news that Centaur Media Plc, owner of the Business Travel Shows in London and Dusseldorf, has signed a joint venture agreement with Dubai-based Dnata World of Events to manage exhibitions and trade fairs in the Middle East.
Dnata World of Events manager Medhat Nassar (pictured below right) said: ”Together, we will be able to leverage our respective strengths to the advantage of clients in Europe and the Middle East. We can benefit from Centaur”s European expertise while providing the same level of proven professionalism in our region.”
Centaur Exhibitions event director Sally Pugmire (pictured below left) explained the importance of a business travel exhibition in the region: ”There is a strong need to improve knowledge of the benefits of a managed travel policy in a fast growing market. The Gulf region is currently the world”s fastest growing for business travel, with 80% of all travel to and from the area classed as business travel.”
”There is a shift in traditional buying habits towards making online bookings and transactions, so the timing of the launch is exactly right for the needs of the business travel community in the UAE and greater Gulf region,” she added. To date the event has been very well received by the major airlines and hotel groups operating in the Gulf region and fits perfectly with their strategy."
