Three out of the 26 sessions being run for buyers have been designed to sharpen the negotiation skills of even the most experienced procurement professionals have been announced for the Business Travel & Meetings Show Conference, which runs alongside Europe’s largest exhibition for the business travel market on 8-9 February 2011 at Earls Court in London.
Margaret Birse, director, Global Travel Services, Serco will present the first of two insightful case studies called ‘Maximising New Negotiation Power in an Economic Upturn’.
The second will be delivered by Germain Huber, senior director, Supplier Relations Europe at Egencia. Entitled ‘Supplier Relationships: Finding Room for Negotiation’, delegates will learn how to use data to strengthen negotiation; identify alternative routes to increased value (such as waived fees, upgrades and status matches), understand how compliance and policy enforcement can enhance vendor agreements and negotiating opportunities as well as discovering key trends and issues that will shape the negotiation landscape in 2011.
In addition, the conference is hosting a procurement-specific masterclass session for a limited number of experienced buyers headed by Jeremy Broadgast, head of corporate services procurement for the Foreign and Commonwealth Office and director at Burley Street.
