OAG, supporter of ABTN, sponsored the Routes Conference Gala Dinner in Copenhagen last week. European airports took all the awards. Munich came first for those with more than 25m passengers per year, Athens in the 10-25m band, Birmingham for those between 5-10m and the Berlin airports for the smallest category. Beating off tough competition from airports around the world, the European winners were praised for their fresh approach to marketing themselves and their industry partners, and for successfully executing activities that have left a positive impression in the marketplace. Birmingham won last year too. OAG chairman Eddie Bell is seen here with the airports Jenni Fernand.
