Rugby House preview a success
Over 430 guests descended on the new South Stand development at Twickenham Stadium on Thursday 23rd October to enjoy a preview of the new purpose built conference and events centre - Rugby House.
The guests, who comprised senior event bookers and venue agencies began the tour in the sophisticated surroundings of the Elgar Suite. Here Managing Director of Twickenham Experience Chris Morris gave a presentation underlining the credentials of Rugby House and its impact on ensuring Twickenham Stadium is recognised as London's ultimate destination for business and sport.
Chris said: "We are delighted to be working with so many fantastic brands at Rugby House. The Marriott Hotel will ensure Twickenham is a 365 days-a-year destination and this coupled with our facilities and the flagship Virgin Active Health Club will place Twickenham Experience as a leading venue for conferences and events both in the UK and internationally."
Paul Davies, General Manager of The London Marriott Hotel Twickenham concluded by unveiling spectacular computer generated visuals of one of the six ‘Grand Slam' suites at the forthcoming Marriott which will overlook the famous rugby pitch.
Following the presentation guests were treated to a tour of the other highly versatile rooms which were set up to showcase everything from an elaborate banquet to a formal meeting. The tour ended in the Rose Suite where guests attending the afternoon preview indulged in traditional English cream tea. Those on the evening tours enjoyed cocktails and a delicious assortment of traditional hot food favourites and deserts were presented in shot glass style glasses.
