GULF AIR showed for the first time at World Travel Market the impressive new ”EVOLYS” business and first class seats by EADS company Sogerma. The airline”s six A330-200s will be kitted out with eight first class seats and 24 in business class. Amongst the many benefits are a ”lay flat” capability, privacy screens, 10” video screens and an ability for two to dine restaurant-style at one table in the first class cabin. The new skybeds are to be installed as part of a complete cabin refurbishment, which starts in February 2005 and will include the enhancement of in-flight entertainment systems. The first refurbished aircraft will be in operation from March, serving destinations including London, Frankfurt and Paris. The full refit programme will be complete by July 2005.
