LONDON”S AIR SHOW came to Earls Court for the second year running last week. Using the majority of the ground floor area, and with the roof cleverly lowered in order to add warmth to the whole extravaganza the exhibition created a very good shop window for the whole of the general aviation industry right in the centre of town. Cessna and Piper showed off their latest wares and there were helicopters galore. Attracting considerable interest on the Garmin stand was Atlantic Flight Training”s new Frasca Diamond DA42 synthetic training device. The new trainer is a prelude to Atlantic taking delivery of a twin diesel powered Diamond DA 42 aircraft later in the spring. The show is now established as a serious gathering of the light aircraft fraternity.
