BARBADOS came to London last Sunday (including first class air conditioning at the Park Lane Four Seasons) to celebrate the retirement after 21 years of Concorde and announce British Airways plans to operate eleven services a week during the peak winter season. There are now only three 3 hour 40 minute Saturday return flights left before Concorde finally retires from the route on 30 August and seats are selling fast. Normal flight time from Gatwick is 8 hours 50 minutes on a four class Boeing 777 aircraft. BA plan to replace Concorde with a Heathrow weekend service which will switch from 777 to 747 for six weeks over Christmas and into the New Year. http://www.barbados.org
