Just under 1400 gathered in Grosvenor House (London) on Monday 22 January for the Business Travel World Awards 2007, hosted by Irish comedian Dara O”Briain.
Eos beat the competition from more well established airlines to take the long-haul business airline award, and the short-haul was jointly awarded to Air Berlin and British Airways.
Best business rail service went, unsurprisingly, to Eurostar; best business travel product to Amadeus e-Travel Management; and best business car rental service to Hertz UK.
Fleet Street Travel won the award for travel management company with less than 250,000 annual transactions; Carlson Wagonlit Travel for travel management company with more than 250,000.
The inaugural Business Travel World Lifetime Achievement Award went to Tony Pilcher, head of business travel and expense management at HSBC.
Tony received a standing ovation for his service to the travel industry, and in particular his forward-thinking when it comes to payment processing.
