BUSINESS TRAVEL SHOW regulars who complained that the move from G-Mex Manchester to NEC for the autumn offering (the February effort continues at Olympia ” London) was recipe for disaster were proven wrong last week
The new venue, the Pavilion at the Birmingham Airport venue, was appealing and well laid out, attracting more people than last year and some 60 exhibitors. Parking proved to be particularly easy.
Supported by a whole host of airlines, hotel operators, travel organisers and marketing companies and ABTN sponsor OAG, the general opinion was ”same again” next year, which was exactly what the organisers wanted.
Paul Robin, event director, said that the catchment area had been extended with business travel visitors from south Wales, the Bristol area and East Midlands.
The seminar and master class programmes again attracted useful audiences and interesting debate. Supported by the Institute of Travel Management and the Guild of Business Travel Agents the show was supported by The Times whose special supplement is available on line.
