After many hours spent painstakingly evaluating the submissions, our independent judging panel of senior travel buyers has drawn up the shortlist for the 2017 Business Travel Awards.
Each of the 22 categories was fiercely contested. Mike Toynbee, chairman of the judging panel, said: “The quality of the entries gets better each year – and this year is no exception. There were some outstanding submissions, and drawing up the shortlist has proved harder than ever.” He added that in some instances, it came down to a single point.
The full shortlist can be viewed here.
It includes the fiercely contested Travel Buyer and Team of the Year, Rising Star and Best TMC awards.
The judges will meet again before the end of the year to discuss and analyse the finalists, and agree the Business Travel Awards 2017 winners. These will be revealed at the dazzling gala ceremony on January 23, taking place at London’s Grosvenor House hotel. The night, with its champagne reception and spectacular live entertainment, is one of the highlights of the industry’s calendar.
The judges represent travel buying in a wide range of industry sectors, including energy, finance, retail, insurance and telecoms.
