FARNBOROUGH looks like being a great success this year (17 ” 23 July), with the new mid-summer date now well established and the Airbus A380 expected to make its UK public debut including for the first time a fully fitted interior. Another aircraft likely to be unveiled is the EMB-195, which could be seen in Flybe colours, the Exeter-based carrier the lead airline for the new aeroplane. Farnborough says that space sales are 12% ahead of the last show with over 93% of the exhibition and chalets sold. For the future Farnborough International Ltd has already agreed a long-term contract with De Boers Structures Ltd, to provide exhibition accommodation for 2012, expected to be a very busy year, and has confirmed an agreement with Tag Aviation to use the site until 2028. An announcement concerning an airline partner is expected shortly.
