Informational services, advanced learning and B2B
exhibitions and events group Informa has chosen TripActions as its new international
travel management partner following an extensive RFP process.
Headquartered in London, FTSE 100 company Informa has more than
10,000 employees in 30 countries. According to
TripActions, a key factor in Informa’s decision was the company’s single,
unified platform.
The appointment comes in the wake of TripActions’ recent
$275 million Series F funding round, which the company says will be used to
further drive investment in product innovation and global expansion.
Chris Vik, SVP of sales for EMEA, said: “The pandemic really
accelerated the need for digitalisation in business travel as companies look to
manage the high levels of duty of care required for modern travel and spend.”
Melissa Willock, group travel director at Informa, commented:
“When our colleagues travel for work or to meet customers, we want to make it a
smooth experience for them, help them select the most effective travel choices
in terms of cost, time and carbon use and ensure we can support them wherever
they are.”
TripActions said its platform will be implemented simultaneously
across Informa’s more than 30 markets and will be available in multiple
languages. Full deployment is scheduled for early 2022.
