Travel management company Diversity Travel is
expanding its educational groups offering with the launch of a new brand, Diversity
Study Trips, following the collapse of market leader STA Travel.
Ellen Rayner, formerly of STA, will
join the TMC to lead the new division as groups director.
Also joining the business are Sam Whittle as commercial
director, Jo Strange as director of account management and Rebecca Diamond as vice
president, Americas. Jamie De Freitas will join the business on 1 June as VP
sales & account management Europe.
Christopher Airey, Diversity’s
managing director, said: “Following the collapse of STA Travel, who were a
market-leader in the academic travel sector, Diversity identified a huge gap in
the market, so this felt like the perfect opportunity to be bold and invest
heavily in creating a groups offering like no other.”
