Travel management company Corporate Traveller is to roll out its new hotel booking tool within its Melon online platform.
The new booking hotel platform within Melon uses technology from HotelHub and has already been implemented for Corporate Traveller’s consultants and clients in the US and Canada, with plans to roll it out to other markets including the UK.
HotelHub’s technology aggregates hotel content from multiple GDS and non-GDS channels into a single interface for agents. It also standardises rates and room types across these channels to prevent duplication. Clients’ preferred hotel programmes and any negotiated corporate rates can also be integrated into the system.
The partnership with Corporate Traveller follows Flight Centre Travel Group’s decision last year to select HotelHub to provide a global hotel booking and distribution solution for its corporate travel brands.
Eric Meierhans, HotelHub’s chief commercial officer, said: “Feedback from Corporate Traveller consultants using the tech has been extremely positive and they have been impressed with the ease of navigation, speed in making bookings, and integration of virtual payments within the solution.”
Chris Lynes, senior vice president at Corporate Traveller Americas, added: “Investing in technology has been a priority for Corporate Traveller to ensure we are providing the best support for our clients’ travel programmes.”
