Airport transfer specialist Transferz has raised €6.5 million in funding to allow it to continue growing its services across the world.
The Amsterdam-based B2B mobility firm said it had secured the new money from a consortium of “business angels and family offices”.
Transferz’s platform offers the booking of private transfers to and from more than 750 airports, train stations and marine ports. The company provides an API that integrates into the booking systems of TMCs and other travel sellers.
In 2020, Transferz started building a network of local transport providers offering electric, private and luxury transfers. It has also recently added shared shuttle services to its portfolio and is looking to introduce other options such as public transport, parking and rental cars.
Johan van Vulpen, Transferz’s CEO, said: “We started by providing private transfer services at unparalleled quality powered by a tech-driven solution.
“This new funding round will allow us to further invest in our technology and to expand our offerings on the Transferz tech platform, with a wider range of ground transportation options in addition to private transfers.”
Transferz’s API is integrated into the systems of corporate travel agencies, as well as big-name online travel agencies such as Booking.com and Expedia.
