Turkey-based carrier Atlasjet will launch a daily service from London Luton to Istanbul in May, the airline has announced.
The route will be served by a 200 seat Airbus 321-200 with connections to Cyprus and Turkey.
Atlasjet said the flights, which start on May 2, will provide significant trade and leisure links.
London Luton Airport’s business development manager, Simon Harley, said: “We look forward to welcoming Atlasjet to the list of airlines that have chosen to operate from London Luton.
“It will be the third airline to confirm services from the Airport in as many months which is testament to the Airport’s convenient location and efficient operations.
“With Atlasjet’s quality on-board service and competitive fares, we are sure the Istanbul flights will be a great success.”
Atlasjet’s ground operations director, Yuksel Atak, said: “We are delighted to connect Istanbul to London Luton with our new flights and look forward to creating a long and successful partnership.”
