On Friday, the U.S. will end travel restrictions on citizens of Chad that were enacted as a part of President Donald Trump's travel ban last year. The U.S. State Department said the African nation "has made significant strides and now meets the baseline criteria" for its citizens to be eligible for travel visas to the United States. The travel ban remains in effect for Iran, Libya, North Korea, Somalia, Syria and Yemen as well as certain Venezuelan government officials, pending an eventual Supreme Court decision on the legality of the ban.
