U.S. Customs and Border Protection last week introduced two features to the Electronic System for Travel Authorization, the online portal through which U.S. Visa Waiver Program applicants apply to travel to the United States. The enhanced portal enables users to save and return to an incomplete application and validates application data fields in real time, which enables users to quickly identify errors and incomplete information. The website will also be available in Polish, reflecting Poland's addition to the U.S. Visa Waiver Program. To qualify for ESTA, a traveler must be a citizen or national of one of the 39 countries in the U.S. Waiver Program and meet other requirements.
