Carlson Wagonlit Travel has made six senior EMEA appointments while letting five people go as it eliminates the role of country director for eight countries. The restructuring follows functions across regions and subregions. Previously, the company used country-specific models. The change will optimize speed to market and service to clients, the company said.
The appointments:
- Stephane Birochau as VP of Northern and Southern Europe program management
- Jari Oinonen as VP of Northern and Southern Europe sales
- Denise Harman as VP of Western Europe program management
- Phil Wooster as VP of Western Europe sales
- Westyna Kulczycka as VP of Poland and deputy head of Eastern Europe
- Jan Latenstein van Voorst as VP of EMEA multinational program management and sales
CWT eliminated the country director roles for Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Italy, Benelux, France, Spain and the U.K. and Ireland, and the following people have left the company: SVP of Central and Eastern Europe Peter Ashworth, VP and country director for Italy and Greece Antonio Calegari, Benelux and Eastern Europe managing director Olivier Chateau, VP and country director for the U.K. and Ireland Johan Wilson, and VP and country director for France Brigitte Nisio.
