Flybe, Europe's leading regional airline, has received several prestigious accolades this year giving it prominent recognition in the airline industry. Flybe provides time saving, flexible business travel operating many high frequency routes.
Earlier this year, Flybe was named Best Short-Haul Airline at the prestigious 2016 Business Travel Awards. Judged by top industry professionals, this is not only regarded as the highest recognition given by the UK travel industry, but also considered to be amongst the most valued recognition in the business travel sector worldwide.
In securing the Best Short-Haul Airline award, Flybe beat off tough competition from legacy carriers British Airways and KLM, as well as from others such as Easyjet and Fastjet.
Prior to this, Flybe had once again been recognised as outperforming many UK players for its On Time Performance. Flybe was one of only two UK-based carriers to feature in the 2015 Punctuality League published by the globally renowned air travel intelligence specialist, OAG. The airline was ranked 17th worldwide in the top 20 global airlines punctuality league table*, with an average on time performance of 87.47%.
Phil Delaney, Flybe's Director of Sales & Marketing says: "Flybe operates over 450 flights a day; and one out of every two passengers travelling intra-regionally on a UK domestic air route outside of London is a Flybe customer, so such official and independent recognition for our punctuality record is great testament. Establishing a good record for departing and arriving within the accepted 15-minute window is naturally one of the main considerations for business travellers when deciding which airline to take."
He adds: "We recognise that time is precious for our business travellers, but also that they need greater flexibility when travelling and an attractive rewards programme."
Understanding and responding to the needs of its business travellers is apparent by the airline's commitment to offering the very best fares, placing particular emphasis on its enhanced 'Get More' ticket option.
The 'Get More' ticket takes into account today's busy world and recognises that even the best laid plans are subject to change. So no matter if a meeting finishes early or runs over, 'Get More' passengers have the opportunity to change their flight free of charge, with no fare difference being charged.* In addition to on-the-day flexibility, 'Get More' tickets also offer hold baggage allowance; advance standard seat selection, Avios collection and SMS booking confirmation.
Flybe's partnership with the widely recognised Avios Travel Rewards Programme gives business passengers using Flybe's services an even greater advantage, adding more value to their flight purchases and providing a broader selection of redemption opportunities for points earned through their frequent travel.
Flybe has established a distinctive niche in regional aviation providing a better alternative to rail, road and other airlines in providing time saving business travel for regional customers. With close to 50% of its passengers flying for business, Flybe is increasingly becoming the preferred choice for those wanting frequent, conveniently timed flights, coupled with value pricing and a strong commitment to customer service.
Flybe will be exhibiting at the Business Travel Show on 24th and 25th February at Olympia (stand B250).
* 'Get More' tickets offer a free change of flight on the original day of travel. For an earlier flight, just arrive at the airport to check in for the preferred flight — and where there is availability on the aircraft, the customer will be booked onto the alternate flight without any additional charge. For later flights, customers need to call the Flybe contact centre at least one hour before the departure of their original flight booking. The contact centre will then rebook the later flight, subject to availability, and a new e-ticket will be issued. For day-return journeys, on-the-day changes can be made to the outbound and/or return flight.
