No frills carrier Wizz Air saw passenger numbers jump 22 per cent in the year ending December 2015.
The Eastern European airline carried around 1.5 million more passengers last year than in 2014.
The growth was helped by a boost in capacity as it expanded its fleet by 65 in December, and announced plans to open 11 new routes, including five in Romania, two in Poland, three in Macedonia and one in Lithuania.
The load factor increased slightly to 85.1 per cent.
