Hungarian low-cost carrier Wizz Air is to introduce flights from Luton to Kaunas in Lithuania from March 2016.
The flights to Lithuania’s second largest city will operate five times per week from March 29. It will be the airline’s third destination in Lithuania, as it already operates from Vilnnius and Palanga.
The Luton-Kaunas service will run on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday. Flights will leave Luton at 07.25 for arrival in Kaunas at 12.10, with the return leg departing Kaunas at 12.40 to arrive in Luton at 13.30.
Wizz Air’s communications manager Gabor Vasarhelyi said: “We are delighted to announce operations from our third Lithuanian airport, Kaunas, bringing more low fares to the country. The five weekly frequencies provide a convenient schedule for both business and leisure trips.”
