United Airlines’ has introduced two ‘bundle’ options to its Economy Plus offering, allowing customers to pre-purchase benefits at a reduced price.
Economy Plus Essentials offers an extra piece of standard checked luggage along with the Economy Plus seat, and United says that passengers will save “up to 20 per cent” by purchasing the two as a package.
Meanwhile Economy Plus Enhanced offers the following benefits:
- Economy Plus seating
- Extra piece of standard checked luggage
- Premier Access (dedicated airport check-in lines, exclusive security lanes at selected airports and priority boarding)
- Access to the carrier’s United Club lounge
- Up to 1,000 bonus award miles depending on the route travelled, for each passenger on the reservation
United say that this bundle represents a saving of up to 25 per cent on the cost of adding these features individually.
