Swiss International Air Lines will commence a new direct service from Zurich to Bengaluru, India, this October.
Flights on the new route will operate five times weekly to meet “strong demand” from business travellers, the technology sector and premium leisure customers, the carrier said.
The new route marks the carrier’s third entry point into India, complementing existing connections from Zurich to both Mumbai and Delhi.
Kevin Markette, Lufthansa Group senior director, regional sales South Asia, said: “India remains a strategically important market for the Lufthansa Group, and we are delighted to welcome Swiss International Air Lines to Bengaluru – one of the world’s leading technology and innovation hubs.”
