The
Government of Sweden has extended its entry ban on travel to Sweden from EU/EEA
countries until 31 August, except for those who are fully vaccinated, can
present a negative Covid-19 test result or a certificate confirming recovery
from Covid-19.
The Government said it had decided to extend the ban
“primarily due to the continued uncertainty concerning Covid-19 infection” and
that it had already decided that entry restrictions within the EU/EEA should be
scaled back cautiously to reduce the risk of a setback that would necessitate
new restrictions.
Entry
to Sweden from Denmark, Finland, Iceland and Norway is not subject to any entry
restrictions.
Entry
from non-EU/EEA countries is generally prohibited except for a limited number
of exceptions, such as highly skilled professionals, if the work can not
be postponed or be done remotely and workers within the agricultural, forestry
or gardening industries.
