Easyjet was forced to cancel more than 600 flights last month due to air traffic control strikes in France.
In its monthly passenger traffic update the no-frills airline saw a 4.3 per cent rise in traffic compared to March 2015.
Easyjet’s rolling 12 month passenger numbers are also up 7.2 per cent to 70.7 million, with load factors also seeing a slight rise to 91.5 per cent.
The airline has been among a number of European carriers that have condemned continued strikes by air traffic controllers and have called on governments to step in to avoid further action.
Earlier this week, Ryanair announced it had cancelled more than 500 flights in March due to three days of action in France. However, the Irish airline still posted a 28 per cent rise in passenger numbers to 8.5 million.
