Qatar Airways has confirmed it will start operating services to Al Hofuf in Saudi Arabia, the airline’s seventh destination in the country.
The new service will fly to Al Hofuf from Doha four-times a week, starting on May 15.
Qatar also said “strong passenger demand” has prompted it to double weekly flights to the Saudi city of Gassim from four to eight a week, while increasing flights to Madinah from five to seven a week.
The increase in frequency on these routes will mean Qatar will now fly to seven destinations in Saudi Arabia and operate 79 flights week to the country.
Qatar Airways CEO Akbar Al Baker, said: “As we continue to expand our network and receive more aircraft, we will keep looking at opportunities to add capacity to our existing network and strengthen our links with the Gulf itself.”
Upgrade to Moscow
Qatar Airways has also confirmed it will be upgrading services on its Doha-Moscow route with an increase in weekly frequencies, as well as new aircraft to help meet the growth in demand to the Russian capital.
The airline will be adding two additional flights a week to the route, bringing the total amount to 14.
