Oneworld CEO Bruce Ashby has announced he will leave the airline alliance after five years in the role.
He will stay on in the job until June.
A successor is yet to be named but Oneworld is considering applicants both internally and externally.
Ashby said: “It has been a privilege to leadOneworld and work with its collection of the world’s leading airlines, but after five years in this role it makes sense for me to move on at this time.”
Before joining the alliance, Ashby had been CEO of Indian carrier Indigo as well as CEO of Saudi Arabian start-up SAMA Airlines.
Previously, he worked for 16 years in the US airline industry, holding senior positions with US Airways, United Airlines and Delta Airlines.
