KDS's Adi Sossover
Sossover joins KDS
Paris-based IT company KDS has appointed Adi Sossover as its chief financial officer.
Mr Sossover has 18 years' experience in the software solutions industry, most recently as vp finance and administration Europe for Tecnomatix/UGS, also a software solutions company.
Yves Weisselberger, KDS ceo, said: "Adi's strong expertise of international software companies will play a key role in KDS' ongoing business expansion and we are very pleased he has joined our management team."
Hogan to quit Gulf
James Hogan is to leave his post as president and ceo of Gulf Air later this year after the completion of the carrier's turnaround programme and implementation of its new strategic plan.
Mr Hogan joined Gulf in 2002, in the aftermath of 9/11, to bring in the turnaround programme.
The airline said it hoped to appoint a successor to Mr Hogan as both president and ceo before his departure to enable a smooth handover.
Starwood promotes Bennett
Starwood Hotels has promoted Colin Bennett, previously its general manager Central London hotels, to the newly created role of area manager England.
His new position gives him responsibility for the chain's six hotels in England.
Mr Bennett joined Starwood in 1987 and has worked in England, Zimbabwe and Scotland for the group.
Starwood said in His mandate in his new role was to "create industry leading blueprints for Starwood branded outlets to assist in winning new business and adding brand value."
Friesen joins Air Malta
Dr Brock Friesen, previously vp finance and strategy at Star Alliance, has joined Air Malta as its chief officer commercial.
Dr Friesen who has 20 years' experience in airline management, also worked for Canadian Airlines (since merged with Air Canada) in a variety of roles including international marketing and international planning and alliances.
At Air Malta he will work under ceo Joe Cappello and be responsible for organising, directing and controlling all the operations of the commercial division with the specific task of increasing revenue for the airline.
Sikora new Domina sales director
Milan-based hotel group Domina has appointed Izabela Sikora as its new director of sales and marketing Baltic States and Poland.
Ms Sikora was previously head of sales in Poland for Starwood Hotels, director of sales and marketing at Le Meridian Moscow County Club and conference and banqueting manager for Le Royal Meridian, Bristol.
In her new post, Ms Sikora will be based in Tallinn, Estonia and report to Fabio Gallo, vp director of marketing, sales and brand Image in Milan.
