Ryanair boss Michael O’Leary wants the UK government to approve three new runways in London not just one at either Gatwick or Heathrow.
Speaking in London today to launch Ryanair’s summer 2017 schedule, O’Leary urged the government to be “radical” and approve runways at Gatwick, Heathrow and Stansted.
He said this will resolve the capacity issue for the next 50 years, while ensuring competition between airports prevents airlines and passengers being ripped off by “gold-plated monopoly” runways.
Ryanair’s summer schedule sees a new twice weekly route to Strasbourg and increased frequency on flights to Sofia and Nuremburg.
