Flights to and from France could be affected by a new strike – just days after hundreds of services were cancelled due to a walkout by air traffic controllers.
Other transport services within France are also likely to be affected by the strike but details of any disruption have yet to be announced.
The latest action by French civil servants, which is due to start at 19.00 local time on Monday (October 14) and run until 06.00 on Wednesday (October 16) is not expected to have as much impact as last Thursday’s industrial action.
European air traffic control organisation Eurocontrol warned that air traffic control services in France could be affected on Tuesday due to the latest strike.
The Directorate General for Civil Aviation in France has told airlines that they expect “very low participation” by air traffic controllers.
Easyjet said in a statement: “Some Easyjet flights in the morning (October 15) may experience some minor predicted delays, but we anticipate these will reduce during the morning.
“It is likely that public transport will be affected, so we advise any customers travelling from the French airports to allow extra time for their journeys.”
