Air traffic controllers in Greece are set to go on strike for four hours today (July 16) as part of a general strike across the country.
The air traffic control stoppage will run from 12.00 to 16.00 local time (10.00-14.00 British summer time).
Most airlines still intend to run flights to Greece but are having to change some departure times as only military and emergency flights will be allowed to land or take-off at Greek airports during the four-hour stoppage.
Air traffic controller NATS said: "Greek air traffic control strikes will impact some flights today, so please make sure you check with your airline for the latest information."
Easyjet said in a statement to passengers: “In order to protect your flight as much as possible we have had to change the departure times of a number of flights that day and we urge all passengers flying to any destination that day to check the status of their flight.”
Greek workers are taking industrial action on Tuesday as part of a protest against the government’s plans to cut more public sector jobs in the country.
